Eskom has entered into a long-term coal supply agreement with Arnot OpCo, securing the full coal requirement for Arnot Power Station for the remaining life of the plant. The contract supports local employment and community development.

Business Rescue Process

Status: Arnot OpCo remains under business rescue supervision as of 2025. Mr Phahlani Lincoln Mkhombo is the appointed Business Rescue Practitioner (Genesis Corporate Solutions).

The business rescue plan was published on 14 July 2023 and revised on 11 August 2023. A disposal process has been initiated, with offers received from several credible parties. Creditors continue to evaluate the optimal path forward.
